sukhumvit / el gaucho argentinian steakhouse

elgauchooddly enough, for a pescetarian i sure go to one too many steakhouses. el gaucho argentinian steakhouse is located in asoke, right in between terminal 21 and the westin grande sukhumvit hotel. if you have ever driven by, you know how packed it is every single night – which is always a good sign. so what makes it so special?

they first made a name for thesmelves in vietnam with success of five branches and have arrived across the sea to thailand. it serves outstanding argentinian cuisine, mostly meat-centric, with a mixture of european and south american influences. i’m sure many you carnivores can verify the outstanding quality of the meat as the reputation holds. the fish was decent as well. but what i really fell for was the roasted garlic whole that came with the bread. and ambiance second. candlelit dinner in a timber and brick style interior simply oozes coziness and romance.

most of the staffs appeared europeans and they were excellent in what they do. gave us great recommendations and checked on us occasionally to see if we had everything we needed. reservation is definitely recommended!

All that meat is definitely not for me, but I’m really like the timber and brick interiors. Also, the roasted garlic whole sounds intense, but amazing! :D
