you know that feeling you get waking up before dawn and it feels like you’re the only one awake in this world? i love that feeling. i love how it’s still so dark yet fresh out. i love the smell of calm, dewy morning air. whether it’s spent reading my favorite book, ruminating or sipping my second cup of coffee in the balcony (half asleep) watching things come back to life after a full nights rest.. having that time, even if it’s just fifteen minutes a day, solely dedicated to you and your thought is pretty amazing. whether you’re waking up for work or to indulge in nothing-ness, try creating a routine around your passion i swear it can make a world of difference in how you approach the day.
i might be stating the obvious here but for me it’s all about the coffee, coffee and more coffee. to be precise, the experience you get with drinking coffee. if i tell you the thought of drinking coffee first thing in the morning puts me to bed faster than counting thousands of sheep and gets me up faster than seven alarms put together, would that be self explanatory enough?
anyways, i got the gold card in the mail the other day and it got me thinking back to the old days (and also the amount of money i must’ve invested in this business). it was a place where me and my friends would hang out before and after school, place for my mental breaks at work and has become my blogging office for the time being. i’m not ashamed to admit that i have officially become that basic girl.
back then it was the only luxury we could afford in the realm of coffee. but man, nowadays with all them single origin beans from every corner of the globe with hundred-ninety-nine different techniques to brew a single cup? i mean don’t get me wrong i’m a huge coffee enthusiast but sometimes ain’t nobody got time for that and all i want is an iced tall americano to go..
i also find picking out an outfit for the next day helps a lot. no muss, no fuss, no turning your closet inside out. si?
this particular dress i’ve been obsessing over lately is from zalora.
i don’t know if you know this but thailand isn’t quite there yet in the online-shopping game compared to other parts of the world. sure, we have plenty of people selling stuff on instagram with an ‘official’ branding at the end of their username; but a legit one like this? zalora is probably the first online shopping platform based in thailand that i use with trust and confidence. and did i mention how affordable most of the clothings are? i highly recommend this website for anyone who’s thinking to jump on the online shopping bandwagon.
if you can read korean, i sincerely apologize for what it says on that mirror. it’s my moms. i swear. by the way, this color riche collection star lipstick by l’oreal in shade ‘barely coral’ is the bomb diggity! it was an impulse purchase to match the outfit i was wearing one day and man i’ve never, ever had a lipstick so hydrating and pigmented at the same time. and i’m very particular about my lipsticks. definitely stocking up on these..
so share with me, what gets you up in the morning?
