seoul / ihwa mural village

mainwhen browsing through old albums from my last trip to seoul, i realized i totally left out this chunk. typical me. but better late than never! here’s my day in ihwa mural self explanatory as the name is, it’s a village located in ihwa-dong (walking distance from daehangno) with beautiful view, murals and sculptures throughout. it’s quite a hike if you ask me and at most you’d be able to get through the entire place within an hour. i only knew about this place through somin from tck goes home and after seeing her beautiful snaps i just knew i had to and it was totally worth it!

if you happen to be in the hood and have some time to kill, you should really try – but even if you miss it.. you won’t be missing out on too much. hope you guys are having a beautiful august so far – i’m currently wrapping up this post in starbucks before i head to the airport to pick up my my cousin’s family. laters!

Here’s my reply to your comment on my blog:

Exactly. There’s all these places not being explored by ocidental tourists because most people go for the obvious. But that’s the beauty of the internet. I found Khao Yai through this travel website where you click ‘teleport’ and it shows you a random place in the world. It looked gorgeous and I’m really loving the idea of hiking trips where I can enjoy the green landscape. Now all I need is some practice in actual hiking! Ahah (this is the website:
