if crisp morning air was a fragrance, i’d totally wear it everyday. i absolutely love everything about mornings and it’s a shame i’m not naturally a morning person. but you know what, i’m a firm believer that forming a routine around things you love can definitely help make waking up early less of a chore and more of an “experience”. here is how i like to kick start my morning.
they say breakfast is one of the most important meal of the day and i couldn’t agree more. not only for the health benefits but i just love the process of preparing breakfast, sitting in my balcony, breathing in fresh morning air with my favorite magazine and taking my time to enjoy the food. some days i really put the time and effort and whip up some amazing dish of pancake, scramble eggs and avocado (fancy, i know) but let me be real – most days i just can’t be bothered and end up having some fruits and a left over pastry instead.
now, with enough consistency and a little bit of motivation, it’s totally possible to make or break a habit. backed by science, they actually say it takes a minimum of about 21 days to form a new habit! i mean what the hell, people who knew me from long back would never have imagined seeing me hitting the gym (almost) every morning. although most days i still have to half-drag my ass out the door..
and having a playlist of your favorite up-beat workout music will totally make the process less dreadful. especially when it’s played on a pair of gorgeous baby pink with gold detail earphones from sudio!
and they were so sweet to offer you guys a 15% discount on any purchase with the code “leeday15” on their website. (for you bangkokians, they can be found in places like power mall and b2s as well) and who knows? with a brand new flashy earphones you’ll be more motivated than ever to hit the gym every morning. ;)
you know it’s true love when it’s the first thing you think of in the morning and the last thing you think of before going to bed.
now, there are times when i have close to nada work-related emails to deal with (woot woot) while other times i’m flooded with them. either way, i like to clear and create my to-do list for the day first thing in the morning (well, after all the above) cos i tend to have days when i go wait, what did i wake up today for?
i mean, who doesn’t like to glam up for the day? but let’s be real – we don’t always have the luxury of time to do so especially when we’re already half an hour late to work. and that is why i find it very important to set up a morning routine you can relish in so that you can start your day feeling well-rested and invigorated. before i leave my house i never forget to spritz on my favorite fragrance and it’s fair to say jo malone’s nectarine blossom & honey has been getting all the love lately.
