sukhumvit / pizzeria limoncello

limoncello bangkok restaurantpizzeria limoncello, famous for their delicious wood fired oven pizzas, has been around bangkok’s dining scene for quite some time now. you’d be surprised to find such cute restaurant tucked away in a rather red-light district of town. the yellow gingham tablecloth, tall windows, brick walls, beautiful ceiling arts resembling the sistine chapel – i mean, i’ve never been to a pizzeria in italy (let alone italy) but if i were to guess this is probably the closest it gets in bangkok to feeling like one.

it’s one of those desserts that you have a bite, you die and go to heaven then you wake up and have another bite.

Oooh that pizza looks tasty! Poul and I are on a short visit to Bangkok, so I’m waving to you from Silom right now:) Can’t show him the photos of that pizza, because I then wouldn’t be able to get him to try any other places (he’s a pizza monster):)

Hi Annie! I’m glad you did this review – I’ve been curious about Limoncello since our real estate agent recommended it. Tell me more about that tray full of desserts – is that a mini dessert sampler that you can order?? Have you ever tried Peppina? That’s on my list as well.

hahaha when you ask for a dessert menu that’s what they bring in! kimberly, they’re opening peppina in ‘the commons’ in thonglor 17 soon. roast moved from seenspace to there as well. let’s go one of these days! let me know when you’re not too busy with mahjong x :P

What a quaint little dining place! I love the yellow gingham tablecloth and the ambience looks great for a small group or say maybe date night? :). Ah yes I would go there just for the mango tart too! Hehe~ if you ever visit Chicago I’ll take you to try deep dish pizza, it’s a whole other animal compared to thin New York style pizza! :) xo~ Lena

I’ve never been to Italy either, but this place definitely does have an Italian feel. The pizza and pasta look really good, but those desserts steal the show. Mmm yum!

Oohhh, that mango tart indeed! I’m gonna see it in my dreams tonight :-)
Such tasty shots, I’m also lusting after the pizza and that plate with all the little cakes. It probably contains enough calories to run two full marathons, but that wouldn’t stop me from devouring it if I could get my hands on it!
